"Schools out for the Summer!"

"Yeah!"
Joseph at 14 weeks old!
Daddy's little buddy hanging out on the couch on a quiet afternoon.

Here's our favorite place in Wisconsin! Joseph could swing for hours and hours.

(Notice his first pair of sneakers?!)

Loving the stroller down by the lake.

Nashotah Lake (Just down the hill from our home)

This last week has flown by. Jason is now done with classes and has completed his first year of seminary! We've been busy with commencement activities and saying farewell to our friends who are moving away. Unlike a college dorm, this community is a home with so many families for three short years. So much has happened since we arrived last summer and it's so sad to say goodbye to so many of our friends. But we're very happy for them as they move on in their ministries. In two more years we'll be the one's moving on. But for now, we are just saying bye for part of the summer as we head home to the East Coast this Wednesday.
Just picture it, 16hrs in a tiny Corolla with an adorable 3 month old... (who hates the car)... a crazy dog and a crying cat! This is way beyond National Lampoon's Vacation!! But, we're so looking forward to it anyway. We'll be posting updates once we get settled at our various summer outposts. See ya soon!

3 Months Old

I'm 3 months old today!

We can't believe how the time has flown by. Joseph has now outgrown all of his newborn clothes. Much to our dismay... today we put away the outfit that he came home from the hospital in (his Red Sox suit). He's so fun and interactive now. Our days are very busy. He plays none stop while he's awake. Recently he has discovered his stuffed animals and he loves to "talk" to them. He also is a huge fan of Baby Einstein (Baby Mozart Video) which he watches daily while playing on his mat first thing in the morning. He has to wear a bib all the time now because he is a constant faucet of drool!.. too cute. He rolls over almost immediately after we put him on his tummy... he's figured out how to get out of tummy time already! He still gets up 2-3 times a night, despite all that we've heard about sleeping through by the time 12 weeks rolls around... well, not this little "mannie". We discovered that he fits into the swing at the playground last week. It's our new favorite pass time, particularly around 4pm (when it's too early to eat and to early to sleep).

About to eat Thumper's nose.

He loves this furry puppy.

Hi Mama!
Giggles all around.

Only 10 days til we head "Back East"!

New Things Every Day

Joseph is doing well this week. His cold is pretty much gone and we've been outside for walks sometimes 2-3 times a day in the nice weather. He's discovering new things every day. We must say "look how cute he is" about 100 times a day. We are working on a nap schedule now that we are nearing 12 weeks. It's hard because he only wants to sleep on Mama... we are trying to work through this... He's getting really fun now that he's so interactive too. He loves to play and really is kicking and cycling his legs and arms at his toys. On our walks now he often coos and "chats" at our surroundings. Today we saw a family of geese with 3 little baby goslings down at the lake. He loved them!
Joseph has a new favorite accessory. Our friends lent us this side-to-side swing and he absolutely loves it. It has a little mobile inside that shines stars all over the inside of the little canopy! We'll definitely have to purchase of these for our next little one (God willing). Here he is taking a little morning snooze.

Bath time is Jason and Joseph's special time together. Joe absolutely loves the bath. He has a little rubber duckie and froggie that he smiles and coos at. He waits all day for his Daddy to come home and give him a bath. He loves when we pour water over his tummy.
"Seriously Mom... I'm relaxing here..."

Recently he discovered is hands. We laugh because he tries to eat his entire right hand... he just found his left hand today! Yum!
